A fascinating overview of typefaces--not nearly exhaustive, but definitely informative.

An essential book for those designing type. The book mainly covers typefaces from the late 19th century to the 1950s. A fantastic resource for those who want to capture the essence of a period with the right typeface.

It is what it is. I found every typeface I ever used in here. It's a good book to look at if you ever need typefaces or some minor information about them.

I love this book. I bought it at a second hand store for $8. I reference it often.
