This is an academic book about the Old Believer movement in Russia focusing on the early 1900s and some in the late 1800s. It is not a history of the movement from the beginning or primarily on its beliefs but rather on how the movement related to the government, society and its origin, the Russian Orthodox church. I was able to find relatively few books in english on this topic. I bought it used on Amazon which saved be a lot off a new copy.
