Not my favorite textbook ever.

This book is alright as far as an overview of introductory biology goes, but I would not recommend it honestly. The organization of the chapters is a bit off, in that chapters often reference topics not yet covered. There were also frequent editing errors that were sometimes seriously detrimental to comprehension. For example, a math equation formatted incorrectly just became nonsensical numbers rather than a cool fact about meiosis. In another area, whole paragraphs were copied and pasted multiple times in repetition throughout the chapter. It is disappointing that these mistakes persist even through the 6th edition of the textbook.

I. Despise. Biology.

Just no. Too much complexity. Too much science and math, even though it is an intro!
The only section I enjoyed was the Darwin theories and evolution of small and large places. Other than that, I just can't.

Great text. Access to the website allows for chapter outlines, pre and post tests, and even flashcards for each chapter. Easy read. A for the course.
