A Little English Cookbook

Rate this book
Fresh seasonal ingredients are the hallmark of English delicious spring lamb; soft fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants and freshly caught salmon in the summer; at the first autumn frost a plethora of fresh vegetables and game; and at Christmas, plump turkeys and delicious cakes and puddings. This little book reflects all of this wealth in its choice of recipes from Fresh Farmhouse Vegetable Soup and Crown Roast of Lamb to Salmon with Dill Butter and Summer Pudding. Traditional English dishes are also Steak and Kidney Puddings, Lancashire Hot-Pot, and Roast Beef, to name but a few.

A cute little book but the measurements and ingredients are too disparate from what I would look for should I decide to make an English dish. A nice little gift book but not one I would keep for cooking.
