Disclaimer: I've known the author since we were 12 or so; however, enough time has passed, even more distance, and I'm not attached enough to do the author the disservice of lying. Take that as you will.

Warning: This is not your Momma's Bible.

Hayes' debut book of poetry is exactly what one might wish one would find in the drawers of hotels instead of the Bibles one currently finds. He re-imagines the Old and New Testaments in 39 and 27 words respectively, with a little Bhagavad-Gita thrown in fo
