Talk about the ending ruining a perfect book...
I really liked the dynamics of the story, the characters and the writing style. The author is a poet and does wonders with words. So it truly was a delight to read this short story. But why ruin it all by packing the rushed ending into two pages and forcing a cliched dialog on them? Not fair...

Intense and almost harsh come to mind. This story involves some serious spanking and domination. Somehow, though, because it all ends in a loving relationship (hope of which I saw fairly early in the story) it made it more fascinating than horrific for me.

If you seek short novella full of sex, no plot at all, other then bdsm night between a thief and a lord then that's a story for you. And at the end you get crying love scene, between those two just from one night together, YAY -___-... You simply have to love this shit...

I actually deleted my original review because I thought it was a smidge arrogant because in essence, I completely re-wrote the book outline ... then I sat back & pondered ... then I got miffed & thought fuck it ... I've been reading at least 500 books a year for 20 something years which adds up to *mumble, mumble, carry the one* 12,000 books or more so who better to pick this clusterfuck apart? ... So. You have a thief & a sadistic Baron. Baron catches thief & offers him a choice. Death or sexual slavery for 1 month ... wise thief, despite heretofore being straight, chooses sexual slavery ... then the Baron goes from sadistic bastard to snugly lover in the next two pages! ... What the! ... Anyway. After I managed to stop my eyes from rolling, I thought about the book some more ... it has potential ... apart from the occasional typo, the author can actually string her words together in a reasonable way ... hence my opinion about how the story should be written (No, no, thanks aren't needed! It's the least I can do!) ... Marcus should have been a servant of the Baron who was admired from a distance before being wooed into his (the Baron's) bed ... the servant should have known about the Baron's penchant for kinky fuckery & been intrigued & appalled in equal measure ... after a debauched night, they could have then sworn their troth & lived happily ever after ... my scenario neatly allows the Baron to express his softer side whilst beating the man he loves & then fucking him into the mattress; & allows the thief to overcome his naivety without triggering Becks Bullshit Metre ... as is, this book is annoying ... read if you dare, but be warned you'll do a double-take at the Baron's behaviour.

Pretty hot long scene about what to do with a thief you find in your bedroom *yumm*. I do wish it happens more than just one day because well, I'm not such a huge fan of the idea of falling in love after only 24 hours.

Although this was deliciously hot the sex was amazing and included all my fave kinks (spanking, riding, pain some but not over the top, first time) i felt the end was father abrupt. If it wa sa bit longer then i would have given it the full five stars

Marcus tries to steal from Duncan but is caught. He is given two choices and choses to be Duncan's leman for a month. Unfortunately or fortunately perhaps, they fall for each other. When Duncan offers Marcus his freedom to leave or stay, Marcus choses to stay.
