A shameless plug to get children to eat these goldfish crackers, the book has indented spots for children to place their "fishies" (As my twins call them) in them. That being said, my kids all still like these books. Besides an excuse to eat fishies, I grudgingly have to admit there's some educational value in them, as the book has them counting and adding fishies to get up to the number then. Whether or not it's a "must have", well, you make that decision.

This book is a classic counting book but uses the goldfish that kids may have seen on television so that would keep interest for them. this book is a simple counting book I think students would enjoy. I chose this book due to the characters and the many uses it can have in the classroom.
