I read this book back in March and I found myself hesitant to review it simply because I felt like I didn't have much to say?

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adored it and thought it an extremely important read if you wish for another viewpoint on the issue of Mexican migrants in the states. Judith is a sociologist who is also an excellent writer. She answers the questions about immigrant lives that I've often wondered about. Why did they come? What did they leave behind? What are their lives like in this country? What are their working conditions like? And information on economics, sexism and how increased boarder control keeps many Mexican immigrants in this country.
