The Brotherhood

The 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai has impacted the Indian psyche like no other events in the recent decades. Exploring the terror landscape, Dev Saha has recreated the mayhem in The Brotherhood with many twists and turns. Ranjit Sanyal, a daredevil police officer, who has lost his wife and two children in a Fedayeen attack on the Calcutta airport, sheds his uniform knowing that taking on the terrorists is just not possible remaining within the ambit of law. His chase for the bad guys across the big cities and small towns forms the core of the story. Deep inside the devil's world, he realizes that the boys who form the suicide squads are mere puppets on the string -- the real prince of darkness is a shadowy figure living a double life. Racy, relentless, the novel is a real heart stopper. It is like watching a James Bond movie.
