About the author

John Peel is the author of Doctor Who books and comic strips. Notably, he wrote the first original Doctor Who novel, Timewyrm: Genesys, to launch the Virgin New Adventures line. In the early 1990s he was commissioned by Target Books to write novelisations of several key Terry Nation Dalek stories of the 1960s after the rights were finally worked out. He later wrote several more original Daleks novels.

He has the distinction of being one of only three authors credited on a Target novelisation who had not either written a story for the TV series or been a part of the production team (the others were Nigel Robinson and Alison Bingeman).

Outside of Doctor Who, Peel has also written novels for the Star Trek franchise. Under the pseudonym "John Vincent", he wrote novelisations based upon episodes of the 1990s TV series James Bond Jr..

Oh my gosh! I remember reading Suddenly Twins! over and over and over again from my childhood days. I really like this book. The idea of another world beyond a magical mirror is very appealing to a very active imaginative mind of a child (like I've been from the past!). I like how everything becomes the opposite of what really is.

Though, I haven't got the chance to read the continuation of this book. I don't remember all the things that has happened in this novel but I remember the ending as a cliffhanger... I wonder if I'll still be able to know what happens next.

Now, All I can say is that this book is an entertaining read for children. :)

It's been a while since i read some fantasy books. I particularly liked this one because it spoke of a parallel universe, one controlled by magic instead of science. I wish I could magic in this world. How cool would that be? I can zap people I dislike with a snap of fingers!

Anyway, it seems that in this parallel universe, everyone has a twin. Yes, a twin! If you were a girl, your twin was a boy in the magical world and vice versa. So together, the two twins Chrissie and Chris [yes, you and your twin's names are similar:] save the magical world from the evil Lori Lee; who's trying to capture all the elemental eggs to control the four elements and thus, the entire magical world. But as always, good wins. x]
