The Good - If you grew up in Chicago and loved sports you will enjoy the stories and anecdotes. The author was a mainstay on Chicago sports radio for decades and his recall of events is good.
The Bad - While the tide in Chicago sports has turned very positive since the 90's (only the Bears and Cubs have failed to win a championship) the author is extremely negative about the state of sports and fans in Chicago. And specifically calling out fans of the 1985 Bears team as needing to move on does not sit well. (No matter what happens in my life, that 1985 football season will always be the greatest thing I witnessed). In the end he comes off more as a guy who thinks he deserves more glory for talking about sports than the men and women who actually play the games.

If you followed sports and lived in Chicago for any period of time in the last 3 decades, you certainly have heard the author on Radio or seen him on television.
This book is a fabulous and comedic look at sports and other things Chicago such as restaurants, health clubs, jogging routes, etc....
This book is pure Chet Coppock with at least 2 laughs per page.
What a great read and a load of fun and great Chicago memories.
