It's night-time and Little Kiwi is out for his first walk with his mother. The only problem is, the night is full of scary noises and Little Kiwi is terrified of the dark! Even when he meets other night creatures like morepork and possum, it makes no difference – the night is far too scary for him.
But what happens to Little Kiwi when he decides decides to venture out during the day?
Bob Darroch has been drawing cartoons for most of his life. His work has appeared on toys, jigsaws, souvenirs and postcards and in newspapers and magazines worldwide. He started writing and illustrating his own books for children in 1999. In 2001, the first of the popular Little Kiwi stories was published. Bob has illustrated books for other authors, including for his wife, Ruth. Bob and Ruth live in Temuka, South Canterbury.
A cute little book that follows Little Kiwi as he ventures out on his first nocturnal walk with his mother. Littlle Kiwi is scared of the dark and all the nighttime sounds and figures that a morning walk would be best. When Little Kiwi goes out for a morning walk, he learns that things are very different. Eventually Little Kiwi learns to overcome his fear of the dark and looks forward to meeting his nocturnal friends again.
