The way this book is written, it's difficult to read. He repeats himself again and again. Seems like he's just trying to fill up a page requirement. But the recipes are amazing and delicious. The way of eating makes sense and you do feel great when you follow his diet.

This book makes a lot of promises and claims miracles. The doctor’s clinic is apparently very expensive, exclusive and treats celebrities and even royalty.
He promises you do his diet and stick with it, you’ll feel the best you’ve ever felt.
The writing, descriptions of treatments and the sort of advertising is amazing and tempting.
Now the problem. The diet.
Ok, it might work. It might even do what it says so I want to read reviews from people who actually did it.
How it feels.
I was tempted even to try this diet as an experiment, but these are the reasons why I didn’t.
1. Ok, even after this reason I would have still tried.
Most of the meals recommended in this book are so flavourless, bland and boring that I was joking with my friend that, if you were to read a fairytale to a child, these would be the type of meals the witch character would feed her.
Can you really be happy and have a sense of humour if, for your life, you can only continuously eat like this?
Ok, I would still try it, but for.
2. The ingredients are incredibly expensive. Most of these ingredients you can only buy in exclusive stores. Obviously situation might be different in your country.
3. The main reason this diet plan is difficult is that the meals take forever to prepare. The clinic has a hotel with chefs. Hardly any person with a busy life can follow the plan.
I would recommend the book because it was quite fun and it made one so curious when you read all the promises the doctor claims his diet does. I have never found or read a book written in this way that promises so much.

I followed this strict cleanse for 5 days to prepare for a food allergy test. It was difficult, a lot of prep is involved. It looked great after though. I wasn't puffy or bloated. I now do the strict cleanse once or twice a year, I always loose weight and keep it off as long as I am continuing to eat healthfully.

I've tried so very many diets, detoxes, and methods to change eating habits. This is one I come back to again and again. Why? Because it makes me feel better. When I come to the end of week 3, my habits have changed, I have more energy, and I've gotten rid of whatever health issue caused me to go to the diet in the first place. I don't do it to lose weight. It's all about feeling better. And, it launches me into whatever lifestyle change I need to pick up related to my health. It ain't easy! But it's not hard either. It takes some time and planning. But after you get into the swing of it - maybe by day 3 or 4 - it's fairly straightforward. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to make a change for health or well-being issues.

If you want a restrictive way to eat, this is one of them. Someone gifted me this book. I didn't make one recipe. The first part section has interesting science but the over all tone of the book is so restrictive that the program would not be one you could endure for a lifetime.

Give the detox diet a try! It's probably a really good idea to give your digestive, immune and nervous system a break from things you may and may not know are not good for you.

4 stars for the diet and the results it gave. As for the book: that could have been way more thorough. I missed a lot of information like references to claims made and other rationale behind some things he claims.

The diet is super good. WHAT a lot of work though...you have to put in quite some time to prepare everything according to what he says. Because he is so specific and I wanted to follow everything precisely it took a lot of effort to measure everything, prep everyday. Mostly the having to keep to the strict measures takes quite some mental energy also.

The first week was 'difficult' struggling with energy until after four days I suddenly had a lot of energy! That continued throughout the second week. The third week I experienced a little relapse in energy and I suspect it's because something contained wheat where I should've avoided that.

It also inspired me to eat differently. Even more veggies, especially raw with lunch feels great.

I'd say give it a try.

So informative. I learned a lot about what certain foods do to your body, negatively and positively.

Repetitive but as others have noted the prescribed diet does seem to work.

I couldn't find the actual title of the book I was gifted but here is the name:

Dr. Rau's Success Diet, published in Switzerland 2018.

I have a friend who visited the clinic and lost weight using this method. However, I did not see any of her medical problems leave other than she lost weight and ate grapefruit a lot. The book has the basic diet and lots of recipes. Unfortunately, this is not a sustainable diet long term. I tried one of the recipes as I had all the ingredients. Tasted great. I don't use potato starch or corn starch or gluten free flour.

This might be a great book for people on a restricted diet.

Rau has discovered a series of strategies for healing the body in ways most of us would not think of or have been exposed to. Rau and his staff at their prestigious healing institute in Switzerland offer state-of-the-art healing modalities that radically detox and restore our bodies from disease and years of exposure to a wide variety of factors that cause imbalance in our bodies. This book is a look into their research, reasons why they do what they do, and what they offer to help those afflicted with serious illness. A perspective well worth exploring.

I found myself fascinated with the theory of biological medicine while reading this book and could hardly wait to try it for myself. Currently following Rau's menu ideas for eight months and was delighted to discover his claims are spot on!
