A reprint of some of Ruth Ainsworth's best stories, including some Charles stories. My favorite in this lot: "Charles and Jenny." Thirty-four years ago these were some of my younger son's favorite stories (especially the ones involving Charles' "useful bag") and he still remembers enjoying them, as I remember reading them. "The Ruth Ainsworth Book" is a more complete collection, nicely illustrated.
