Organizational Vision, Values and Mission combines some great definitions of values, mission, and vision with a step by step process for identifying them and building them into your organization. The author does a great job of defining and clearly differentiating between a mission statement and a vision statement. In addition, she also provides clear guidance on which should come first and why.

The basic premise of this book is that the organization starts with the individual, so most of the exercises begin with the individual. While this is different from my approach, I can see its validity and appreciate its orderliness. If you are interested in learning more about values, mission and vision statements or if you are looking for some great exercises for creating them, then I recommend you read this book.
