This volume contains good information for high level readers. It presents expanded perspectives on many of the topics covered. The timelines at the start of each chapter are useful and the primary sources are interesting. To stimulate students’ critical thinking skills, questions have been added that encourage interest and reinforce comprehension. This can be used with or without a textbook and the viewpoints trace American political, social, and diplomatic history with many different American voices, expressing opinions on the critical issues of their times. Contains an Index. Nonfiction – United States- History
