Very dated and at times cringey story of older beautiful stripper and a teenage boy. Feels at times that the author wanted to shock as opposed to providing insight and motivation. Characters come across as cardboard and simple and border on being cliched.
Argument can be made that the movie was better (at least that is what I think).
