Thomas Bonner received the copyright for his book "The Kansas Doctor" in 1959. The book focuses on the practice and history of medical services, evolution of medical science, and the political forces that drove Kansas medical practice from 1854 thru 1957. I enjoyed reading the book very much. It is full of surprises, humor, and insights. Despite its age, the writing is refreshing and the documentation is convincing. The book is a "must" read for fans of Kansas history. (o)
