There is no reason to dislike it. Its really a factual collection of the mindsets that are flowing in the Islam, wrongly. Very Wrongly. If not for these ideologies, the reality would have been so different for the Islam world and the culture within must have been at-least bit better. Though the pattern is satirical, the way in which this book is written, the references indicated well towards the thoughts that are still allowed to flow in the society. Such orthodox theologies are destroying the world. I really wonder for why this Gem is kept under a sepulcher for so long.
No wonder why this book is banned in India, coz, everything is available on internet, thanks to Americans.

The glimpse of the life of the Prophet is described very well keeping the references of words used, to the books they have been taken from. All the books mentioned, mattered and said to be followed by the Sunni branch of Islam (alone). If the texts taken from the books that are made base of the learning about the life of their Prophet then why ban was demanded? Even the Publisher was killed for publishing it. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rangila...)

Blasphemy

This book was written in counter to the attack did on the Hindu Goddess Maa Sita by Muslim community to hurt their religious sentiments. I found this work as an epitome of satire. It is one of the foremost and earliest banned books in India (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...). This is not the way harmony maintained, it has to be public for wide reviews. No sentiments must be hurt though. But after checking the references the ban should have been lifted and let the public be jury for the same.

I am rating it with all corners lightened. 5.0/5.0

I just can't believe that !!! I have read one of the most controversial books of all time .

Chamupati had used all the "Sunni" Documents to describe the living of "Mohammed hazrat". The language used is bit fluffy and its in Hindi .

Best book to disclose all the mis deeds of this man who started "Islam" .

This book depicts various instances throughout the life of Muhammad. But what I personally liked about this book that it not only tells but also proves that Muhammad was sexually abnormal. In today's world he surely fits the definition of Pervert. A man of age 53 marrying a girl of 6 and consummating (polite term for having sex ) at age of 9 is not a prophetic but perverse act.

Alternative Title- The Playboy Prophet

A biography of one of the most influential person to have ever walked this earth- Prophet Mohd. (PBUH).

The title, if translated word for word means 'A Colorful Prophet'. And these colors are portrayed quite nicely in this book.

When he was but a wee lad, twice did Mohd. try to run off to floric in lewd pleasures as others of his age, but the archangel Gabriel prevented him from this sin each time by lulling him to sleep.

Prophet married Mother Khadija at the age of 25, with her being 40 years old. She was a two time divorcee, but managed a noticeable fraction of business around town.
This women, a rich and learned one, was the one under whose shadow, Mohd. first started receiving revelations.

After her death, 25 years into the marriage, Mohd. broke. He started marrying every single women he laid her eyes on. Be it his slave's wife, or the daughters of his friends, he married them all. They were what his right hand possessed.
And those he couldn't or wouldn't marry, he kept as concubines, the favourite one being Mariya. He later claimed that God had performed the marriage between them, with Gabriel as witness, therefore there was no need for any formal marriage on Earth.

He visited each wife, as he had the sexual prowess of thrirty men, the beast that he was.

The book is missing a few points, like how Mohd. wanted to marry a six month old infant girl ((Suhayli, ii.79, Ibn Ishaq)
And how he claimed to have been married to Mary The Virgin.

All in all, a hilarious read, that is informative af.
And it reads like Mark Antony's speech, for it derides prophet for how he was, while satirically claiming that it must've been to teach something to the followers, him being a man of God.

It also refers to the Satanic Verses in passing, so fans of Salman Rushdie will find something to feast on as well.

This book gives glimpse on the life of muhammad. Book focuses on Prophet's marriages and often those to children. I don't know why this book is still banned. There was nothing controversial. The publisher of the book was even stabbed to death by man named Ilm-ud-din. People should read it so that they can judge the book.

This is one of the most controversial books written about Islam. It has tried to put light on the aspects which are unknown to most. There is a big issue about the language of the book which is a mixture of Hindi and Urdu. The urdu words tend to make it confusing, restricting the flow of reading.
Overall, very informative book. But you will need some knowledge of urdu to understand this.

"What goes around comes around" maybe that's Karma.

In 1929 three books were published with titles "Krishan Teri Gita Jalani Padegi", "Unnisvi Sadi Ka Lampat Maharishi" and "Sita Ka Chinaala".These books were allegedly distributed through all mosques in India. To counter that narrative in 1923 a satirical but accredited print was published by Rajpal Publisher in Lahore. The author of this book is Pandit Chamupati. The book was "Rangeela Rasool".

In 1927 Muslim scholars filed a case against this book and within 2 years British Raj banned this book. Later in 1929 Muslim scholars agreed that it was true historical narrations of the Prophet of Arabia(Muhammed) and thus Mahashay Rajpal (publisher) was acquitted. Soon after on 6 April 1929, a Mohammedan named Mohammad Ilm Din beheaded Rajpal. As they say "Gulam e Rasool ki ek sajja sar taan se judda".

This book depicts the martial life of Muhammed. How he married Khadija(40y age) when he's only 24. How Aisha a 6 years old kid married to 53years old young lad. Zainab his daughter-in-law how she becomes a true believer and the list goes on .........To know correct and more details you have to read Rangella Rasool. It's a 60 pages book easy to read but it's only available in Hindi and Urdu.

To read Rangeela Rasool https://archive.org/details/RangeelaR...

To know about Muhammad's life data is easily available on the internet, yes, but in the 1920s it's not possible there is no internet.

This is one of India's banned books - it was banned in 1927 by the British. The book publisher Mahashe Rajpal was even stabbed to death in retaliation. Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rangila...

I found a very old PDF. But, I was disappointed with the content. None of the 'controversial' facts in the book are new for today's Internet-age generation. Book focuses on Prophet's marriages and often those to children. One Google search will take you to Prophet's marital history. That's it, that's what this book has. It is still banned! Can't imagine.

A very controversial book about the life of our one and only great prophet (pbuh). The book behind the creation of section 295a in the Indian constitution.
It all started when one community published a pamphlet depicting a hindu goddess as prostitute so hindu community responded in same and come up with rangila rasul which resulted in a huge outrage and the whole community became enraged, because of the complaint by one community the publisher of the book got arrested but acquitted after a five-year trial because there was no law against insult to religion but he was stabbed to death after several unsuccessful assassination attempts “GUSTAKH-E-NABI KI EK SAZA SAR TAN SE JUDA SAR TAN SE JUDA” and later on British government enacted section 295a under the pressure of one community.
All the incidents of prophet(pbuh)'s are taken from the religious scriptures of one community.
I don't need to remind you its a must read.

This is an example of trolling before there was Twitter. Insanely sarcastic, this book was Arya Samaj's response to a pamphlet depicting Sita as a prostitute. While the language is embellished and a bit archaic, most of the 'controversial' story is available on Internet today. As in 2015 Charlie Hebdo attack, the publisher of Rangila Rasul was also murdered in 1929.

Finally, I somehow managed to read the first ever (and still) banned book in India (then British India-1920s).

The author has written under pseudonym; the publisher was prosecuted in court, later acquitted after 5 years followed by his gruesome murder by Ilm-ud-din, a Muslim.

It was my curiosity to know how offensive the content really was. In my opinion, yes, it contains offensive and disparaging content, but, this was in response to another derogatory pamphlet from other side.

Importantly, the book is responsible for the enactment of Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 295-A which puts people under bar in India, a secular and liberal democratic country, for 'hurting religious sentiments'. Every religious group--Muslims, Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians--have used this section to ban 'offensive' books. Pakistan has taken the 295-A further by enacting 295-B and 295-C sections in its PPC.

The aftermath, done by the then administrators-cum-exploiters--British, of this book has not set the good precedent in the British India and the post-independent India. Refraining my opinion on the content of this book as 295-A is still in enforcement and I don't want to go into any legal trouble.

Read this so called Banned Book as I managed to get an old pdf. certainly not a great copy and there are many mistakes making it difficult to understand. At the same time, I googled the keywords taken from te book and googled. Got more details of the same containt all over internet with sites as common as wikipedia ,
Donno why this book is still banned when all the info are readyly available over Internet . Surely due to the writers sarcastic opinion and one sided analysis of the events of Mohammad's life.
Could have been a hot cake during the 30s but certainly nothing more than a leaflet in this era.
