Having originally run into this book at the tender age of 23, and using the principles throughout my twenties, such as avoiding the sun and incorporating many fresh vegetables and green tea for their anti-oxidant properties, I have re-read this book as a refresher of the actions I can take to maintain fresh skin and avoid premature aging and wrinkles, especially more relevant now that I am in my early thirties.
Although there is a lot of information in this book, I would have felt better about the research if it had given more specifics. In the natural topicals chapter, most references seemed like vague "name dropping" without enough information to act upon. The other thing that bothered me is that the only topical products suggested were from a single company, Genuine Health in Canada.
I love how they explained both internal and external ways to look after your skin. I believe (as they have shown) that diet plays a huge roll in how your skin looks and feels - the last book I read did no agree with this view.
It's worth reading, not only to have great skin but other areas of your body (health) will benefit from the changes they suggest.
