This story is set in the late 1800's-early 1900's when Ireland was still under English rule and English landlords owned much of Ireland. There are many good lessons to be learned in this story, most importantly would be the part money should play in our lives instead of money defining who we are. I really enjoyed this book and the characters, plus the story line was not so easily guessed.

Sweet, old-fashioned, Edwardian story of love and devotion and the twists and turns of life, told in three parts.
