This book is so poorly written, even for a non-writer it's bad. It reminds me of a teenager's diary with how it jumps from subject to subject without truly describing anything in enough detail to paint any sort of picture. The style is narrative, which isn't always bad, but this is Mercer recalling bare details without the courtesy of expanding on any one potential experience to make it interesting.
