I started reading this book not wanting to like it as I thought it would be pushing the whole Jesus-thing too much (it has a sticker on it that states it's the Christian Library Book of the Year, and mentions Alpha courses in the introdcution) and I don't normally read anything that looks like "true crime"/gangster story. But I found out that Gram is just an honest guy who tells his own story, without (too much of) an agenda. It's an eye-opener and an engaging book to read.

Well, I may be biased, as the author is a friend of a friend, but I found the book was an absolutely gripping story of how one man found redemption.

Autobiographies are not meant to be smoothly written and pleasant reading. Nonetheless, this is an engaging and captivating tale of overcoming and rising from the depths. The power of God in some lies is truly palpable and moving. Gram Seed is not necessarily the type of person you would wish to have growing up next door to you, but as an adult, and after his transformation, he is the type of man you would wish for a friend.

I have had the pleasure of hearing Gram talk and he is a truly inspirational man, he has been through so much and has come out of the dark tunnel and is doing so much good now. an amazing man and an amazing book
