A look at the devastating Cedar Rapids flood of 2008, the second "500-year" (or "1000-year") flood to hit Iowa in 15 years. Despite growing up in (Central) Iowa and living in Iowa City for a bit, I was fairly unfamiliar with Cedar Rapids, its history and neighborhoods (and sadly 100s of homes and businesses are gone now).
