Interesting book. Lots of information and suggestions to help you manage diabetes. Some of the information is pretty detailed (talking about food nutrients and the government recommended daily amounts). It goes into detail on all the food groups, why they are important, and what foods go into each category. There are also tips on meal planning, shopping, restaurant eating. Some of the tasks are very time consuming, but I suppose it depends on your commitment to being healthy.
A lot of reviews explain that the title can be misleading. There are no recipes here. But I found what I was looking for: the knowledge and information about food and eating while diabetic. I am more informed now in the choices I make.
Not my favorite. Not easy to read. Bit cluttered and dense. I'm sure it was filled with good info, but not organized nor presented well. Just stopped reading after a few tries.
I picked this up expecting recipes (there are none) and meal plans (a few, but not in my calorie range). I did learn a few things in my skimming through, but the title seems misleading.
