Almost gave it 4 stars but heroine was so naive and so full with wrong ideas about what hero is thinking about her. And hero was ust great even though he was too much of a gentleman most of the time. He was so composed unless provoked and then you could see that he was indeed in love with the heroine. I wonder what he would have done if his fiancé hadn't run off with her sweetheart? Would he return to Englandand marry her even though he was madly in love with her friend? I wonder.

Una stupenda storia d'amore, con un favoloso omaggio al fascino dell' Italia e di Roma in particolare da parte dell' Autrice !!!
