Great reference book, if you were looking at buying an older model Gibson Acoustic. However, for general history, or company history, I found this an awful read. Its much more geared around the specs of older and newer models, including measurements of braces, tops etc. I am very interested in guitar history and building, I just don't care about super laser specific points like this. Also, this book makes great pains to not really criticize much about Gibson (aside from some Norlin-era productio ...more
