I really enjoyed this book. The mystery is fun! I liked the characters involved in guessing and dreaming of what might be in the box. Most of all I loved the ending! Great story! Wonderfil illustrations again.

This is a good level for my 5 year old to read on her own. She needs a little help with some of the sight words but can make it through the story without getting too frustrated. I think I was trying to jump ahead a bit, because she is interested in more advanced stories. Now i realize she isn't ready yet to read those herself. This one is manageable. She'll be bored with it in a couple of months but it's a great place to start and to build confidence.

Love the Trucktown series. In this book the trucks are trying to guess what is in the gift. The book ends without saying, so kids can use their imaginations to decide what could be in the gift.

This is a level 1 reader for those children who enjoy vehilces and especially construction vehicles. Each page has a few simple words. She gets a gift and her friends all guess at what it is, but she doesn't want to open it because she likes mysteries.
