Humana Festival 2002: The Complete Plays

by Amy Wegener (Editor), Amy Wegener (Editor), Marc Masterson (Foreward)

The festival has produced some of the best-known American plays in the past quarter-century. - CNN.com The Humana Festival of New American Plays is a celebration of new work with a long history of honoring and embracing the playwright's vision--because we believe that part of our responsibility in premiering new work is to create an environment in which playwrights are involved in major creative decisions--by inviting writers into the room for the rehearsal process, and by ensuring them complete control of their texts. We believe that this simple practice is what makes our festival unique, and that it's this support that brings exciting playwrights to Actors Theatre each year. - Marc Masterson, Foreword
