A sentimental story from the 50's.
A short sci fi story. Mari wolf was a good writer and sci fi fan. This story has a sentimental touch that you wouldn't get from a male author. Actually three settings in one. Not everyone loves travel.

Continuing my ongoing reading mission to delve into that rarest of breeds, the female sci-fi writer from the Golden Age of the genre, I come across this little nugget from Mari Wolf, first published in IF Worlds of Science Fiction, June 1954.
Festival time is on the way again to New California, one of many artificial planetoids with controlled climates where humans have been forced to live after the real Earth was made uninhabitable by radiation.
Trina loves Max, a spaceman who tells her that he has discovered a new planet like Earth where they can live together. Sounds ideal, but will she and her group be able to adjust to living on a real planet?
Nice premise, decent treatment.
Wolf was more of a fanzine writer than a story writer and this is one of only half a dozen or so titles credited to her on ISFDB site, though they have been newly published together recently in an anthology.
