I enjoyed Forty Fat and Fired so I was interested in reading this book. It was entertaining in parts; you could relate to comments Marsh has made but in the end I just wanted to get through the book to finish it without really enjoying it!
I really enjoyed Nigel's first book so was looking forward to this one. A really enjoyable read - as someone going through a similar mid-life "crisis" at the moment his thoughts and musings really do seem to hit home well for me. This is a really great fun read - not to preachy and really gives you a range of things to reflect and think on about your life - no matter your station in life.
This is a type of self help book with a lot of laughs. Marsh shares many of the ways he has improved his life. Most tales are humorous. It's a light read.
Got the book because I enjoyed his TED talk but, for me, it was something of a disappointment. Essentially this is a collection of anecdotes from Marsh's life which might sound good in a talk - which is what he does for a living - but definitely not enough to fill a whole book (at least for me).
Not bad, but overall not that good either. Some of the advice is profound and spot on, however, I felt too that I just wanted to get over the book as I was near its end.
