Viscount Blackwood had to marry--and soon. In order to inherit his father's wealth, he married a dying woman from a hellish London workhouse, to the consternation of his friends and the fury of his mistress. But his bride recovered, and what had been intended as a very brief marriage of convenience suddenly became inconvenient in the extreme!

Preeti ♥︎ (Romance She Reads)
I tried and tried to not hate the H, and give him the benefit of doubt as well as chances and opportunities to prove his worthiness as a basically decent and deserving man. But sorry, he remained the sorry piece of humanity that he always was.

And that dragged on ending was the mother of all dragged on endings – evaaaa!

Okay so he marries her- a sick and

Mary - Buried Under Romance
I first read this two years ago, and to my dismay I had forgotten to write a review for it, which is to prove my downfall as I read this again - came across the book by accident, and thought I liked it the last time. I was wrong.

The plot is horrendous, and the hero is almost as despicable as the incompetent villain. There have been other stories of the "married someone who is near death for [blank] selfish reasons" but Viscount Blackwood quite takes the cake for never apologizing for his action

2.5 stars. As usual the story of my life with these last few books. Started off with great potential to end up being a dud. The beginning of this book would have you believe that it would have had some real depth but nope sorry, it quickly ventured into the predictable. I couldn't believe that the villain got away scot free in the end being shipped off somewhere. I HATE when authors do that!!
