This book is excellent, and a must read for those intrigued by energy work and energy healing. She goes through each of the chakra systems and explains how imbalances in these systems manifest in out physical bodies.

It is profound in its explanations of how shutting ourselves down from our own truth inhibits and blocks success, health and well-being from many areas of our lives.
We can often do things in the appearance of doing the "right" thing, when it defies our own intuition of what is right or wrong for us.

When it comes to truth, you can run, but you can't hide. It eventually will catch up one way or the other. This is a very thought-provoking read. Highly recommended!

I couldn't get past the story of King's horrible upbringing to get to the spiritual stuff in this book. From what I did read, there wasn't really anything in there that lots of other spiritual authors haven't already wrote, without the agony of going into her sexual abuse past. I don't know about other people but when I read a book I really identify with the author when I'm reading so this was absolute torture for me to read & instead of enlightening me brought me down. If you're the empathic type don't read this book. If you can read about sexual abuse without getting sad, etc, then maybe you can get something useful from this book.

I am absolutely enamored by the work of this awesome author. She is an energetic healer. I attended a lecture/mini-workshop she gave in St.Petersburg,Florida in April 2011 and she is definitely the real deal. I have a feeling that this type of work would be helpful to my autistic students, so I going to study healing with Deborah this summer at Kripalu in Lenox, MA and in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Her second book, Be Your Own Shaman is even better.

I loved this book. It's organized by the seven chakras so you get a clear idea on what a healthy or distorted chakra is like. I will definitely refer to this book as I continue my practice as a reiki healer. the stories of her abusive past are hard to read but I admire her courage to speak her truth. Deborah King is amazing.

Deborah King writes good, basic information on the seven charkas. This book is best for someone just beginning to study the topic. Although her personal stories are a little drawn out for my taste, I learned a lot and she has prompted me to being learning more about healing through truth.

King delivers a message so worth reading, something that many people need to hear. Neglecting, hiding, or downplaying our emotions will only cause more pain. Facing our truth, that is what will free us.

I am a fan of Deborah King's work on HayHouse Radio and expected this book to be better than it was. Still, it has good info on the chakra system and its relationship to illness and dis-ease.

This book is extremely uncomfortable. I took a class with this person once and really didn't like it but I thought there still might be more I could learn from her, but I find her autobiography segments like overshares and I find her judgmental of her clients. I still have one more book of hers to try just because I can. She teaches with examples from celebrities and I'm really not compatible with that for a bunch of reasons. We don't resonate.

I stumbled upon this book and I am so delighted I did. The author has structured the book by chakra. She goes from one to the next by telling an anecdote from her own life and then describing how to get this area back in balance. Very inspirational to hear her speak! Go if you have the chance!

This was a very interesting read. I knew a little about illness and what our bodies reveal to us. Now I want to learn some more, any suggestions for more about this topic?

This was an AMAZING book! Every single person on the planet needs to read it in my opinion. There is nothing more powerful than the truth, but the truth that lies within. A must read!
