Men, We can't live with them and we can't live without them. Men say women take their hearts away from them and then sometimes toss them aside but women say, men do the same thing. So here we have the best kind of handsome, charming and tough cowboy, Lucas Weston. You can't possibly resist a cowboy like that. But Lucas has been hurt. He's the prime example of what a woman can do to a man. SO to protect his heart, he doesn't get emotionally involved. He tosses his good looks and charm

This is another page turner that I couldn’t put down from this author. Wow, fast action, hero and heroine with emotional, wounded and relationship problems, both from traumatic events. Again, Julie Lence really knows how to write compelling and complex characters and moving action in the historical western. These two hit it off while on the trail having to overcome trust issues and relational problems they both had in life. They have to turn to each other to survive this long trip to get our her ...more

A Western Love Story!

Another page Turner by Julie Lence. I loved these characters especially our hero, Lucas! In fact all the characters were wonderful, loved Missy, our beautiful heroine, Buck, who needs a book of his own please and is a hero to me, and Derek too, plus all the lovely women. Julie you are going to be busy for a while keeping this gal happy reading. This is a beautiful love story with humor, a little suspense and the usual bad guy to keep you turning the pages. Some sexual situat

This second book in the Weston series is as much fun as the first. Lucas Weston accompanies Missy Morgan from Texas to San Francisco after she locates her sister (Book One). Along the way, romance blossoms but Lucas doesn't trust women, and Missy has been so sorely abused by men in her life that she can hardly believe that Lucas will be different. Once they reach San Francisco, Missy reveals not only her young daughter but also the gambling house she runs. But Lucas isn't easily deterred once he ...more

****This is the second book in the Weston family series by Julie Lence. This author knows how to tell a story! Lucas and Missy are two characters you won't forget. This western romance ranks up there with the best of them. The story is solid, the descriptions are great, and the writing is exceptional. Pick up your copy now. You won't be disappointed. I'm not a big romance fan, but I really enjoyed reading "Lady Luck". Ms. Lence definitely knows how to bring the bygone days of stagecoaches and cowboys to vivid life.

I loved this book. It has cowboys, sailors, crooked bankers, card sharps, children, mothers, outlaws, old friends and new friends. Lady Luck is the nickname of our heroine and the name of the gambling parlor. The Lady Luck is a run aground ship turned into a gambling parlor with living quarters for 6 women and 2 children. The story takes place in San Francisco. Missy, Lady Luck, our heroine, wants to get back home, to the converted ship. Her outlaw bodyguard leaves her in the capable hands of ou ...more

Julie writes Western Historical Romance. Her stories bring to life the code of ethics cowboys lived by and the dangers outlaws defied living by their guns. Often outspoken and temperamental, with their own sense of humor, Julie’s heroes share a common trait―the willingness to surrender his heart to the right woman and earn her love for eternity.

Julie was born and raised in upstate New York. She m
