I borrowed this book from the University Library as alternative course material for Fundamentals of Engineering Design. Its treatment of the material was well organized and efficient. I feel strongly that this book alone, without the course, could have exposed me equally well to such topics as multi-criteria decision making, design methodologies, concept generation, divergent thinking, lifetime analysis and risk analysis. This book did not cover material relating to reverse engineering and design analysis and optimization.
