Drake & Josh #4

Kid Trouble

Rate this book
Drake Bell and Josh Peck are as different as two kids can be-- the only things they share are their families and their room!

Josh is student teaching in Megan's classroom, but the class soon rebels against their new taskmaster. Then Drake joins forces with Megan to lead the revolt. Could it be that Drake is just trying to snare the class's amazing drummer for his band?

Then Drake gets a lesson of his own in classroom behavior. To avoid being sent to remedial English, Drake agrees to mentor a little kid. Unfortunately, this little kid wants to have nothing to do with Drake.

Based on the Megan's New Teacher and Little Sibling.

Okay so, just as I sat down to read this book for Day 4 of my Drake and Josh reading week, I was made aware of some serious allegations against Drake Bell from his former girlfriend. As a result, I will no longer be supporting Drake Bell himself, nor his music or acting work, but I do feel continuing to review these books does no good for him.

Firstly, the juxtaposition of the two stories in this book are very strange. The first shows Josh being really good with kids but the second shows him being a total douchebag to kids? The latter of which is totally out of character for him.

I really liked the first story, it has a positive vibe to it and I love how it ends in Josh's favour, and that Drake puts in effort to make it that way, which is a huge development for his character. And it doesn't end totally shitty for Drake either. It was a fun and amusing read, I remember liking this episode.

The second story felt really strange. It was good for Megan's character but just felt off for the show it's in. However, as a show-to-book adaptation, it does what it does well, and I rate it high.
It also gives us this INCREDIBLE quote from Helen:
"Drake Parker, your music makes me want to wiggle till I giggle,"
SAME HELEN SAME.

Anyway. Good book.
