In the last five years, approximately 2.7 million people have been treated for epilepsy and it is estimated that as much as one in one-hundred of the world's population will develop epilepsy during their lifetime. It is further estimated that 60 million people worldwide have epilepsy and in the United States alone, between seventy to eighty thousand people are newly diagnosed each year. Despite being such a common problem, most people know little about the disorder and people with epilepsy feel stigmatized.

I really liked this book. It broke down all the information that was needed so that anyone could understand more about Epilepsy. I find it weird that I got more information from reading this book then I ever got from my Neurologist. Wish to find another book that Reuber wrote.

Some new information for me, and I enjoyed the illustrations, but not really what I was looking for.

I love this book. I'm so inspired by the man who wrote it. He's one of my heros. Each section is so well explained.

This book does a wonderful job of explaining epilepsy to the lay person so they can know how to help their friends and family who suffer.
