Ahmed El Esseily was very entertaining on the radio, but writing a book is a different thing. It was Ok, but not very interesting. It's like a normal random-thoughts blog published in a book. ...more

The last few years witnessed the rise of a new wave of literature which we can call socio-political sarcasm. This year, Ahmed Al-Esseily, known for his FM radio and TV sarcastic shows, came up with his first book named "A Book with no Name. The book has strong overtones of philosophy and existentialism. With his funny and sarcastic style, Al-Esseily tackles issues that can be considered taboos in the society such as the nature of God, the reality of religions, why we pray, hypocrisy in religion, ...more

Discuses different controversial topics and issues. The writer tends to ask questions before discussing any topic, and answers them in the discussion. The writer also talks about how Muslims should behave and act in order to present the real Islam in a good way, and to improve the society. However, the book was written in the Egyptian dialect, which might be little bit hard to understand some of the words.

the most important things that you can gain after reading this book are; thinking, asking, q

i decided to gave up this book ! .. it's not interesting at all. when reading a book you target to get information or a deep thoughts behind it and from its ideas. those goals are not achieved from this book. The author is talking about general thoughts that cross the minds of everyone. He highlighted the same thoughts without adding a certain analysis or an idea to help the reader to have deeper look at those thought. it's just as if you've taken a paper and a pen and starts to write down what ...more

Ahmed El Essily...one of the few people who thinks differently, I always liked his shows..he has a special style in talking and thinking. The book is several short essays about his ideas in several things in life. His point of views are unique. If you don't agree with him at least he succeeds in making u think differently or see some things from different perspective. Very good book, amazing writing style (actually i felt like hearing his voice with his unique talking style while reading :D)..I' ...more
