The end was so happy and sugary that i can already feel the diabetes. But it was full of simbolism, good simbolism, that puts a lot of things into perspective like what it means to be a hero or a ruler, this series is full of them and even if the ending is a super happy ending the journey was very good.
A book so good I struggle to believe the same person who wrote the sixth book wrote this. Everything gets resolved perfectly, the out of body scenes finally make sense instead of being irrelevant walls of meaningless flowery prose, the philosophical musings are set into context and informed by characters not just presented sans anything we see the culmination of the character development we saw during the series, all the actions and decisions make sense (unlike last time we had a book by this author) and we get to see the whole plot laid bare - From all sides-.
A great ending to a mediocre series can atone for many sins
A satisfying ending to the series. Noph is the hero; although one might think he's extremely lucky. Not giving anything away but funerals and weddings seem to be parties to avoid in Waterdeep. Recommended.
Since this is the final book in this series, I feel like I should express something about it, but I really can’t think of anything other than to say this was mediocre at best. If all you’re looking for is a standard wizard and warriors fantasy adventure with the stereotypical happy ending (complete with a big celebration) than this series will likely fill that need, otherwise its an okay story if you need to pass some time.
