This is not a book that you actually have to read. Rather, it's a feast of artwork for the eye. The photographs of the handbags are extraordinary. Who knew how artistic and creative ladies' handbags could be! I always was aware of some of the more famous names of this and the past century, but some of the very old handbags also can take your breath away. Some of the needlework is just so lovely. And the bags with beads and jewels never cease to catch my eye.

This is a book that should be picked up and looked at over and over again. Just a pleasure to view, sort of like going back to a favorite museum with treasures that will never really grow old.
