Surprisingly good story! Ya never know what to expect with these types of books- too many times, high sexual heat means sacrificing depth but this one does a fine job of weaving the two.

Starting the Westervelt Wolves Book series, Her Wolf introduces us to a pack of shape shifting wolves living on an island off Maine. The Pack has yet to recover from the devastating betrayal perpetrated by their Alpha thirty years ago but the introduction of a young lady to a captured wolf is about to change all

Blackraven’s Review:

Her Wolf by Rebecca Royce is a well-written, fast-paced, sensual, action-packed thriller that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and biting your nails until the very end.

Although I began with Book 5 in the Westervelt series, I’m so glad that I went back to the beginning to discover how it all began. Ashlee Morrison may seem crazy to her parents and everyone else in the world, but to Tristan Kane, one of the Royal Six, she’s his mate and ultimately his savior from

Shallow and bland characterization and no world building. A lackluster writing style.
I thought about giving the series an other chance, but at 5$ for scant a novel there's no way I'll buy the second.
The 2 stars are a "wish you luck" charm for the author, the book is not that good.

I found this one a little bit bizarre; it was ok but parts of it few odd and a other bits a tad annoying.

Ashlee works as a volunteer in a zoo, she has had a mental breakdown and is trying to recover. She has noticed that she has a bizarre connection to one of the wolves living in the zoo and one day discovers that she is able to communicate with it. The wolf tells her that he is actually a man stuck in wolf form and that she is also his mate. She decides to break him out of the zoo and help him

I absolutely love this shifter series. They are short stories but still jam packed with tons of romance, action, suspense, some tears, alpha male possessiveness and protectiveness of their 'mate', and hot wolf lovin too! One thing I really liked is that, unlike many other shifter stories, these individuals are connected to their inner-wolf in a really unique way. There is internal dialogue going on with their wolf. I loved that. It added a deeper connection to their other half and also some real ...more

Ashlee Morrison is struggling, after her five year relationship broke up she broke down, she dropped out of college and is now helping out at a zoo, but life is difficult she's not eating enough and she's hearing voices, well one voice actually and it belongs to a wolf, crazy yes she thinks she might be.
This book had potential and I'll probably continue on to the next one, I liked the characters and the setup but for me the back story was a little too far-fetched, I know we don't have all the de

The summary for Rebecca Royce's novels are a lot more interesting than the actual novels themselves. Her writing is choppy to the point that I could barely make it though a few pages, yet somehow managed to get through a few chapters. None of the characters are more than two-dimensional, so when she adds more characters into the mix it gets incredibly hard to tell the difference between one and another.

I'v just finish all the Westervelt books and every single one I couldn't put down.
The story's are all unique and exciting, they made me love each family member with there own exciting plot line. I can't wait for the last brother's storey but hopefully not the end of the series there's still a whole pack to write about. If u love shapeshifter and a good romance, this is the series for u.

There are so many good things about this book. Not the least of which is a bunch of hot, sexy wolves!

Rebecca MUST continue this series. The story is well told with memorable characters. Ashlee and Tristan's romance is sensual and caring - you want to know what's happening in their lives even after the story is done.

Kudos!

bit of a different start!

Poor Ashlee has had a rough few months including a stay in a psych ward for a while. she's getting vivid dreams and hearing voices. her parents hope this helps her and they help get her a volunteer job at the local zoo.

Ashlee is drawn to the wolves enclosure. As she watches them she's always drawn to one dark wolf who always stands aside from the pack......who she starts hearin

This book started out just a little slow for me, but as I was reading it I realized that it was necessary in order to develop the story correctly. I am now thankful for the slow beginning.

Ashlee volunteers at a local zoo. It was her father's way of getting her out of the house after a horrible break up with her fiance. At the zoo she is drawn to a wolf in the wolf enclosure. Every day she is at the zoo she feels compelled that she has to go visit him. And his eyes are just so human looking.

Her Wolf written by Rebecca Royce.

Book one of the ‘Wetervelt Wolves’ series. This series contains seven novels and each novel is an individual story but ties together by the same pack or rather the same underlying story that revolves around an ex Alpha who basically went ape-shit. (sorry to be crude)

Ok. So this was my favourite book out of them because I loved the way Ashlee was strong willed but also gentle in her nature.

Ashlee is raised to believe she is slightly crazy because she can no longe

I would have liked this book a whole lot more if one niggling little thing hadn't happened. One little thing. Isn't it funny how one thing can alter your entire perception of a book. Sadly, this thing happened early-ish on and I kept thinking about it. What's this thing, you ask? Well, her mother and father kept the knowledge of her half wolf-shifter heritage from her and let her think she was crazy and having a freaky ass nervous breakdown. And when Ashlee confronts

Ashlee has been kept in the dark on many things for far too long. She hears voices and has been having disturbing dreams, but she along with her parents chalk it all up to a mental breakdown she's been long overdue in having over a broken engagement. She starts volunteering at a zoo to aid in her mental recovery and becomes drawn to the wolf pen. The voices she hears this time are hard to ignore as well as the attachment she feels for one particular wolf.

Ashlee thinks she’s going crazy. She hears voices coming from the wolf’s den where she works, but brushes them aside until one day she decides to speak back. Once the wolf knows she can hear him, everything changes and a rollercoaster ride to return Tristan, the wolf, back to a human, begins.

When Tristan realizes that Ashlee is his mate, he’s thrilled and can’t wait to get into his human form. A spell has been cast on him by his evil father and he needs the pack’s magic to hea

Ashlee, who thinks she's already mentally unstable, becomes obsessed by a lone wolf in the zoo only to find he's a prince wolf shifter and OMG! she's a half wolf shifter herself with 'specialz abilities'.

Now there are several reasons why I shouldn't have liked this book. I don't like the very tired, 'sniff sniff' you're my forever and ever 'MATE' trope. I don't like the half-breed, raised in the dark about their true heritage having 'special powers' and oh, look! now mated to the prince/alpha. (

Given to me for an honest review. Ashlee has had psychological problems most of her life. She seems better and she volunteers at the zoo. She likes watching the wolves. They play like puppies except for one who looks lonely to her. Sometimes he is very upset that he is locked up and betrayed. This time she tells him that maybe he would be better off with another pack. He replies that his pack walks on two legs sometimes. She is startled and thinks her hallucinations are getting worse. Her Wolf is a gripping tale of good versus evil and the strength of love. The plot was fast paced with a few scenes that had me on the edge of my seat. The author has created an intriguing world of hidden wolf-shifters on a remote island. I enjoyed the complex relationships between Tristan and his brother-wolves. My favorite character was Ashlee. I loved witnessing the transformation of Ashlee's character. In the beginning she is an insecure and confused young woman. As she discovers and accepts ...more

Fairly good read. A little too short for my taste. Although being part of a multi book series sort of makes up for the short length. There are several books in this series featuring the Royal Westervelt siblings. It was a unique storylîne. Very well written which is why i give four stars instead of three. There were no editing mistakes in this one. I really appreciated that very much. A shifter story with witches & magical elements thrown in ... making for an interesting story. Interesting e ...more

Horrible, horrible book. I could not even make it much farther past the free preview. It really seemed to me that the author/editors just worked on getting the "free preview" portion publication ready. After I purchased the book (the preview seemed interesting enough) the grammar and writing style dramatically decreased. I could not even get past the next chapter. It moved from average to third grader in a matter of paragraphs.

Do not waste your time. There are plenty of good books out there. Sav

The plot of the Westervelts Wolves’ story is great and the love between Tristan and Ashlee is very strong. You can feel how they truly love each other and the mystical mating ritual which allows them to receive the most important part of their mate’s heart and soul is truly beautiful. In addition, there is a great variety of secondary characters. I enjoyed learning more about how it all began and the tale is very captivating and will keep you begging for more. Another Wolf-Mate story. I am totally obsessed. This story is very different to the ones that I have previously read. I liked the fact all the wolves have their own island, instead of having to hide away in plain sight. Ashlee was a very likable character, she really came into her own. it difficult to believe that the whole story was nothing more than about a week. I liked the magic side of this, which was very well done. Overall a good story, can't wait to read the sequel.

Oh, wow. It was fantastic, to tell you the truth. Intense and adventurous enough to satisfy a reader's appetites and leave him (or her, in my case) hanging for the next book in the series. Oh, Santa Claus, I hope you don't lose your way here! I'm waiting for a huge bagful (haha!) of books!
