That shows God's love, forgiveness, and care.
It's a tale of two brothers that, you might say,
Were no more the same than night and day.
The oldest worked hard--he would never leave home;
The other loved fishin' and was ready to roam.
So off went the youngest with money from Dad,
Not a care in the world till things went bad.
Now what should he do? Where should he go?
Surely at home they'd say, " Told you so!"

The prodigal son

Great retelling/adaptation of The Prodigal Son. I love that it is set in rhyming verse- makes it a fun read aloud- and it is set in a modern setting. It's also nice that the original story, paraphrased nicely for young kids, is in the back.
