A light amusing book but not as comprehensive as the others I inherited from my father.

Half super super 1960s casually racist, half actually filled with puns that I hadn't heard or read before and that delighted me. 3 stars to split the difference.

Best I could give this one was a 2.

A handful of the puns were funny.

But most were severely dated for 2018, a bit arcane, a bit racist/sexist, or just not all that funny.

It is said by some that puns are the lowest form of humor. If so, these ones were mostly the leftovers.

I think this book is really an exercise book: when you try to "get" some of the puns,
its a real stretch.

Book is fun but most of the puns are outdated if you're reading in 2018

Recommends it for: People digging through all the stuff in old people's garages.
The version I read was from 1960 with all the quasi racist and sexist jokes in it, because there is nothing funnier.

Read this as a young child, classic bathroom reader stuff, and the old, tattered book is still in the bathroom, entertaining the next generation.
