Elements of engineering electromagnetics

Rate this book
This book contains a versatile approach to the coverage of statics with an emphasis on the dynamics of engineering electromagnetics. It integrates practical applications, numerical details, and the coverage of principles. Two part coverage includes essential topics of fundamental and applied elements, such as field and line, guided waves, electronics and photonics, time-domain analysis of transmission lines, and radiation and antennas. For students of electrical and computer engineering who want more advanced coverage of fundamental electromagnetic principles of photonics.

Its main idea is how to use electromagnetism in engineering so that it doesn't explain the details about why the equations is that. If you want to know the concept more, then I recommend Griffiths' EM book.

Electromagnetism concepts is not all just "physics". Some ideas are about engineering. You can see those things in this book.

Its math trick is not difficult (Griffiths book's math is very beautiful).

I ended up in a related field, so was not too bad. It helped to like Cal...

need to re-read for higher-level information:

- when to detect need to change method of tackling problems from different approaches (numerical vs. analytical)
