A terrific book.

The Author examines the material record of the British Isles from a period beginning with the Neolithic and ending with the early years of the Roman Conquest.

Early on, the Author explains their unabashed Landscape Archaeology based approach, which is quite appropriate owing to the nature of the material record- monumental architecture, earthworks, land divides (particularly in the Middle to Late Bronze Age and early Iron Age), and votive offerings all seem to attest to a percept
