I admit I did not read this book word for word in fact I skipped full pages (no interest in snakes for example) but this book gives good information on animals around the world. I like how it is broke up into parts of the world such as mountain animals, deserts, grasslands, forests and arctic. The back of book has maps of some of the United States bigger zoos which I have been to 2 of those featured.
