Need the job done right? Get a handyman with the right "tools."
Pleasure Inn, Book 1
Interior decorator Lindsay Bell jumped at the chance to help restore the old inn at Mason Creek. What could be more fun than letting her imagination run wild on an unlimited budget? Eagerly she plans to turn her assigned room into a fantasy BDSM playground.
All she expected from her newly hired handyman was to help her tear down a support wall. She certainly didn t expect Brad Caldwell to be so drop-dead gorgeous in a tool belt. When he proves to be a steady, hardworking, stand-up guy unlike the men she s dated Lindsay has a new and wicked idea.
To take her new creation on a test drive down the road of their deepest, darkest, most delicious desires and seduce her way into his heart."
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.
This is the first book in the Pleasure Inn series. The premises of the series are basically three best friends who haven't had the best of luck with men and have decided to stay away from them!! Enter the Goddess of Passion to the rescue! She has decided to take it upon herself to help them find happiness... and sexual bliss! ;)
All Tied Up is the story of Lindsay. She is an interior designer and has been hired by, yes, mystery client/Goddess of Passion, to design the perfect BDSM room. Except to complete her special fantasy room a wall has a to come down... Ahhhh... we need the services of a sexy, hunky handyman! Meet Brad. He is miles away from all the men Lindsay is used to dating and attracting, but is she up for the challenge?
This was a fun, short, sexy, hot, kinky. I definitely enjoy this author's writing style! Yes, it's erotica, but Ms. Fox does it well! I mean, really, who can resist a drop-dead gorgeous guy in a tool belt who is good with his hands... and a paddle?
The romance aspect was good enough, although I probably would've rather seen it being more realistic without all the I Love You's at the end. It's hard to develop a good solid romance storyline in a short story like this. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable quick read and I'm looking forward to see what happens with her friends!
Lindsay Bell has sworn off men; she’s been used enough, thank you very much. She’s determined to focus on the interior decorating company she runs with her two best friends, Anna and Candace. But their newest assignment, turning an old Victorian home into an inn for lovers, is about to turn Lindsay’s celibate world upside down. With an unlimited budget and an assignment to design a room any way she wants, Lindsay plans on creating a BDSM fantasy suite. But to do that she needs a wall taken down, and that brings sexy handyman Brad Caldwell to her door. Will being in close quarters with an intelligent, hardworking, drop-dead gorgeous man be enough to make Lindsay give up her vow and take a chance on love?
A touch of magic adds spice to this delicious fantasy tale by Cathryn Fox. All Tied Up is a red-hot start to what is sure to be a wonderful series. What’s wonderful about both Lindsay and Brad is that neither is all that they appear to be on the surface. It was lovely to watch them uncover each other’s layers the more time they spent with one another, both in bed and out. Both Lindsay and Brad are incredibly likeable, making me root for their finding happiness with one another.
All Tied Up is the first book in Ms. Fox’s Pleasure Inn series and I finished the story incredibly eager for Anna and Candace’s books. Check in and stay for a spell at the Pleasure Inn and enjoy this sexy, satisfying tale!
This was a free read from Amazon. Right after I read this, I ended up purchasing the following two. This is a very short cute story that I enjoyed and had fun reading. It's nothing too complex and Ms. Fox has a good sense of humour when she writes this story. The sex scenes were decent.
2.5. This read kind of like a Blaze, but with less substance. I really like the premise, but I think each of the 3 heroines deserve a full-length book.
The first in a series of three stories about three friends who have decided, each for their own reasons, to swear off men. Now apparently if you are having trouble with men all you need to do is swear them off and say these magic words "Just because we've all sworn off men, certainly doesn't mean we have to lock down the candy shop, girls." with the intention to do a ton of masturbating and *poof* you have now summoned Pamina the Goddess of Passion who will immediately set you up with your soul mate who also happens to give you the best sex of your life! Sick of the dating scene? There is your solution, and the set up for this series.
This first installment features Lindsey who usually seems to attract losers without a job who just mooch off her money. If only she could find herself a good hard working man who would also enjoy taking control in bed. *Poof* Enter Brad the handyman business owner/med student. :)
This was fun and pretty hot but the romance seems rushed and weak. Not really enough time in this short novella to let the relationship unfold which leads to the over done explanation and justification to why they are in love after only a few hours in each others company. I know some people need those 'I love you's' in order to really enjoy this kind of story line but I really don't. Hot sex and 'this has been fun maybe we should actually date and see where this goes' would be good enough for me. I enjoyed it and yet I am not just dying to read the others in the series. Not necessarily a waste of time, just so-so-ish.
Ah, romance. As in romance novel. As in completely implausible plot sprinkled with gratuitous sex and overly romantic gestures no real man would ever perform for a flesh-and-blood woman.
Which is probably why I love the genre. It gives me an outlet for my fantasies that men really do want to sweep women off their feet and put their needs and wants ahead of (or, at least, on the same level as) their own.
No romance novel is great, at least, not in my eyes. Every one lacks any shred of plausibility that I require a book to have to be truly great. But that doesn't mean I don't get off in a good smut read, and this one was pretty satisfying.
A control-happy, horny young woman paired with a super-sexy yet emotionally deep young man. Already beyond my plausibility filter, but I enjoy the fantasy. A love of masochism and exhibitionism. Now we're talking. He's smart and wants what's best for her. Well, not believable (guys think that way?!), but I love a good fantasy.
All in all, a good quick read that let's the mind indulge in some harmless (albeit unrealistic) fantasy. Only criticism: less use of tools for their intended purpose; more foreseeable, but not necessarily intended use.
This was a great little quick read. Basic premise is a sex goddess comes to earth to help three friends who have "sworn off men" to get some yummy hunky goodness. The story centers around Lindsay, who is designing a BDSM room for her new client (this would be the sex goddess in cognito).
Just so happens a wall needs taken down and a yummy handyman needs to be hired. Well turns out he's handy with his hands in more ways than one.
This is a quick read, so no deep meaning or anything earth shattering, but a really cute story with some really hot sex and a little dash of BDSM.
My fav quote..."She schooled her features into polite interest while her hormones danced to the beat of that eighties AC/DC song 'You Shook Me All Night Long'".
I enjoyed the author's voice and the characters. I will definitely read more in this series.
Mmmmmm....bondage sex with a virtual stranger. So hot! This book was getting really high marks until they started spouting the I love yous towards the end...really? They don't HAVE to fall in love...when a book is over a period of a few days a HFN is sometimes better.

Free on kindle. A short fun sexy story about three friends who are interior designers and are hired to Each design a fantasy room of their choosing for a "lovers inn".
i never noticed the paranormal tags or i wouldn't have chosen to read this. i felt it was so uncalled for, i just didn't care for it. would have been a stronger story without it.
This is a nice bed time story. Not really sure I understood why there was a need for the paranormal element to the story. I think it's a nice short story if you want a quick read.
