The Behind the Lines exhibition of political cartoons has quickly become an institution. Each year since 1996 the National Museum of Australia has run a competition to find the best political cartoons of the year, and created a travelling exhibition highlighting the best - called Behind the Lines - the exhibitions from 2003 onwards are available in full online.
