I love homes with character and love seeing all the interesting architectural details in different homes. This book has some great photos with ideas that would be especially useful if you are in the process of building a custom home and want to add some character.

Excellent resource! This book not only discusses the various types of moldings, trims, mantles and various other woodwork, it also discusses lighting features. A valuable reference for the home remodeler.

While this book is a good resource and provides many ideas for adding charm and interest to your home, all the ideas are very traditional in design. If you are looking for ideas for a different architectural style, this may not be the resource for you.
