It was pretty bad, I've read around 35 of these and this is the worse one I believe. Well it would be a Chuck Rogers written one anyway. I actually skipped this one because it was Rogers and I had enough of him, some sense of completing all of the series made me go back to it. Rogers has no ideal what he is doing, not sure how he got so many of these books. Really only one true fire fight at the end and it was very short, the rest of the so called action was even shorter. He just writes a lot of setup and really bad dialog, doesn't understand the mens adventure genre is about action. The plot was a group of crooks ended up with secret plans dealing with the Star Wars defense system and they was going to sell them to the highest bidder, back to the US or Russia. Able Team was sent in to take out the Russian team and the crooks. Made little sense and was quite dull.

Don't read, not even if you are liking the series. If it's written by Rogers just skip it.

Utterly beyond parody. The opening chapter has a crazed killer being released from prison by those soft-on-crime liberals. He goes by the name Psycho, but his social worker says he should pick a name that won't scare people. So he says he wants to be Killer. The idea that he ever had a legal name beyond Psycho doesn't occur to anyone.

It actively makes the book worse to print Regan campaign speeches. Instead of having our heroes go deal with the bad guys like badasses, they have to explain for multiple paragraphs why they can’t call the cops, because the courts never do anything to criminals. Imagine if John Wick stopped for a monologue about “those damn liberals” and you’ll get an idea what this does to the pacing. JUST SHOOT THE GUYS ALREADY.

If you wrote a satire of this novel, it would just be this novel with less slurs.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
